DOWN THE CYCLE PATH ALONG THE ELBE TO PODĚBRADY AND KLADRUBY

You can follow the Elbe River along the Elbe cycle path all the way to Poděbrady. The route is approximately 80 km long in total, but riding along the river makes the journey go by faster. However, there are sections that still run on secondary roads. On the way to Poděbrady, you can stop in Kladruby nad Labem at the UNESCO-listed National Stud Farm. The final destination can be the Poděbrady spa colonnade, where you can relax and enjoy a pleasant stay. You do not have to worry about the return journey, because it is easy to get to Hradec Králové by fast train from Prague, which has several seats reserved for bikes.

There are many attractive tourist destinations along the Elbe Route, both natural and cultural and historical. The length of the whole cycle route is about 1300 km and it runs along the entire Elbe river to Germany. Among the interesting destinations in the Hradec Králové Region are the already mentioned Kuks Hospital, Les Království, the Dvůr Králové Zoo and Safari, the Josefov Fortress, the Elbe Spring and the Krkonoše National Park. In the Pardubice Region, you can take this cycle route to Kunětická hora, Břehy or the National Stud Farm in Kladruby nad Labem. In the Central Bohemian Region, the route will take you to Kolín, Poděbrady, Nymburk or Mělník.
